Crafting with Icons: Collaborations That Bring Our Chocolates to Life

At Sur Chocolates, collaboration is more than a business model—it’s a shared celebration of craftsmanship, taste, and culture. From working with world-renowned cocktail institutions to luxury spirit brands, our B2B partnerships allow us to do what we love: create unforgettable chocolate moments that tell a story.

Here’s a closer look at some of our most exciting collaborations to date—and what’s next.

🍸 The Connaught Bar — Chocolate for the World’s Best

When you’re creating chocolates for The Connaught Bar—consistently ranked among the best bars in the world—every detail matters. Their signature is precision, elegance, and elevated experience, and we’re proud to match that energy through bespoke chocolate pairings tailored to their drinks and clientele.

Our work was to re-create a new signature cocktail - Ambra - in the shape of an Alfajor, using Balvenie Whisky and Geranium as the main ingredients. This alfajor was handcrafted in a small batch, and the result was complex, layered, and luxurious. It was a collaboration grounded in mutual respect for craftsmanship and detail.

🧁 Buenos Aires Nights — Bringing Alfajores to the Table

Buenos Aires Nights, the Argentine steakhouse bringing Latin-American flair to the UK dining scene, wanted to have a special gift for Mother's Day, so they asked us for our handcrafted alfajores—traditional Argentine biscuits filled with dulce de leche and coated in premium chocolate—in a personalised tin for their customers.

This partnership allowed us to showcase the authentic taste of Argentina in a restaurant setting, where guests could enjoy our treats as part of a full culinary journey. It also speaks to the growing appetite in the UK for Latin American flavours made with care and authenticity.

🧪 Jägermeister — Chocolate Meets Herbal Alchemy

One of our most adventurous and rewarding collaborations has been with Jägermeister, the iconic German spirit brand known for its bold, botanical flavor.

We developed a range of chocolate truffles, caramels, dragées and alfajores using Jägermeister Manifest, their premium expression with deeper, spiced complexity. The result? A rich, herbal chocolate that surprises and satisfies.

These custom products are used in activations, events, and gifting—bringing together fans of bold flavor from two different worlds. It’s an ideal match: our focus on precision and Jägermeister’s commitment to experimentation.

🥃 Ron Santiago de Cuba — Caribbean Craft in Chocolate

Another standout partnership has been with Ron Santiago de Cuba, one of the most prestigious Cuban rum brands.

We worked closely with their team to design truffles that echo the tasting notes of their signature rum—almond, coffee, honey—with the elegance and depth rum lovers appreciate. These chocolates have been featured in tasting events, press kits, and luxury gifting campaigns.

For us, the process was part flavour development, part storytelling. It’s not just about pairing chocolate and rum—it’s about building edible experiences that carry cultural weight and sensory harmony.

🤝 What These Collaborations Mean to Us

Every B2B partnership we take on is guided by a few core values:

  • Craftsmanship: Small batch, hands-on production tailored to the client.

  • Cultural Dialogue: Many of our collaborations bridge different traditions—like Argentina and Germany, or the UK and Cuba—through shared culinary expression.

  • Sustainability and Quality: We use responsibly sourced Latin American ingredients and sustainable packaging wherever possible.

🔮 What’s Next?

We’re always exploring new ideas with hospitality, drinks, and gifting brands that share our love of bold flavour and storytelling. If you're interested in a custom chocolate experience—be it truffles inspired by your spirit brand, or an alfajor that speaks your company’s values—we’d love to talk.

Let’s build something delicious together.
