Design and quality are excellent. I found the caramel-like layer on the inside unneccesary and I would prefer a creme-patisserie style element instead to add to the overall creaminess of it.
Hola Carol, many thanks for your review and your personal view. The 'caramel-like' layer is actually Dulce de Leche, the main ingredient of any traditional Alfajor (it's a milk caramel, one of the most important sweet ingredients in Argentina)
This Alfajor Dark 70% is our version of the most traditional Alfajor in South America, that's why it has Dulce de Leche. We also have more than 10 other flavours where we use different fillings like jellies, ganaches, pralines, etc. The combinations are endless and every person (including our Chef Chocolatier) has its own personal preferences.
